Give at Work

Giving to DC Central Kitchen through your workplace is easy – and it can be a lot of fun, too! You can designate DC Central Kitchen through your workplace’s United Way or Combined Federal Campaign funds or host a PhilanthroParty (what we like to call a fundraising event!).

Designate DC Central Kitchen

Throw a PhilanthroParty
Organize a fundraising event at your office to benefit DC Central Kitchen. It’s a great way to bond with your coworkers and show your workplace’s commitment to building a stronger community. And, DC Central Kitchen is here to help you every step of the way.

To get started, download your PhilanthroParty Quick Guide or follow the steps below. Contact Abby Elsener at or 202-789-5979 x108 if you need a hand!

Pick an Event
The sky’s the limit with ways to fundraise at work. Here are a few suggestions – but don’t be afraid to get creative and do whatever works best with your office culture.

Contact DC Central Kitchen
When you’re ready to move forward, let us know what you’re up to. Contact Abby Elsener at aelsener@dccentralkitchen.org or 202-789-5979 x108.

Find Out if Your Company or Organization Will Match Funds
Many workplaces will support their employees’ community investment by matching part or all of the money raised during a fundraiser. Check with your human resources or finance department to find out how to bolster your PhilanthroParty with a matching gift from your organization.

Pick a Date, Set a Goal and Spread the Word
Pick an event date and set a goal for the amount you want to raise. Give yourself several weeks to let everyone know what’s happening.  This suggested timetable for marketing your event at work will help you stay organized!

Collect Donations

You can set up your own specialized fundraising page for your event using Razoo, DC Central Kitchen’s preferred online fundraising tool.

Go to www.razoo.com to get started, and follow this step-by-step guide if you need help along the way.
