Pureed food is generally recommended for clients who have chewing or swallowing problems (this can be due to a variety of problems, including stroke or lack of teeth). It is a great service to provide to food-insecure households that have the aforementioned conditions, since it is probable that they are not receiving adequate nutrients. Additionally, it may be difficult for these people to receive food from other organizations that generally serve low-income clients, because many organizations do not serve pureed food. If it is feasible for your Campus Kitchen to provide pureed food, I would strongly suggest it, as it only requires a food processor and a little training.
