Culinary Job Training Class Bakes Inaugural Cookies

In partnership with The Ritz Carlton, DCCK’s 73rd Culinary Job Training class baked shortbread cookies (Michelle Obama’s recipe) that were used in gift bags and as turndown treats for all the guests during inauguration.

The Ritz, a long time partner with DCCK, paired its chefs with our students, to not only give them experience in the kitchen, but to package the cookies as a project of our Culinary Job Training Class. The guests, mostly celebrities and press, will get a glimpse of DCCK’s nationally recognized empowerment program while enjoying high end shortbread cookies.
